Justin then accepted a position with a local member of Congress where he advised on immigration policy, veteran’s issues, social security, public safety, and economic development. Justin left this position to move back home and accepted a position with Madera County where he advised the County Board of Supervisors on a range of local government policies including public safety, land use, economic development, social services, and public health. In 2006 Justin was elected to Chowchilla City Council where he served as the Mayor of his hometown.
For the last 10 years Justin has worked in his county’s elections office helping oversee local elections. Justin is responsible for formulating and administering a $2 million dollar budget with 20 full time employees and over 50 part time employees. He has led the implementation of several major projects in the office including the modernization of the document recording system, a new state of the art voting system and a complete overhaul of the voting model wherein Madera was one of the first 5 counties in California to do so.
Justin is also a father of two boys, Jarrett and Jaxson. Justin spends his free time serving in his local church and enjoying the company of his extended family.
