Kurt Chun is a product of the San Francisco Bay-Area. He retired from the City of Berkeley Fire Department with over thirty years of experience. Kurt is a public elected Director for the Southern Marin Fire Protection District serving the north side of the Bay-area. He is responsible for fiduciary matters and administration policies associated with the district.

Kurt attended the University of California, Berkeley, and the State University of San Francisco majoring in Education and Vocational Studies. Presently a faculty member of the City College of San Francisco providing coordination, instruction, testing and evaluation of yearly curriculum in Public Safety.
